Free parking and special rights

There’s no single national rule, but many Portuguese cities let EV drivers park at a discount — sometimes even for free. The details vary by city.

Important: Free doesn’t automatically mean unlimited. In some places, even EVs have a maximum stay.

Low-emission zones and stickers

Portugal has low-emission zones (Zonas de Baixas Emissões, ZBE) — Lisbon, for example. Older vehicles face strict entry restrictions.
